Dietitians of Canada Recipe Collection Contest
Canadian families love good food! And we're looking to you to help Do you have a favourite recipe for roast chicken? Or a great way to Canadians across the country have enjoyed our five prior cookbooks and this sixth cookbook, due for publication in March, 2011 is sure to be another winner. In keeping with the Nutrition Month theme of "Celebrate food...from field to table!", this cookbook is designed to showcase all the bounty of food available to us in Canada. It will feature over 225 recipes from across Canada designed to help you get a delicious and healthy meal on the table for your family. The recipes need to: Have you adapted a classic recipe to make it higher in fibre? Lower in fat? Richer in calcium? It could be a recipe for breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack. It might be a main dish, soup, salad, vegetable, pasta, dessert, or other favourite dish. Be unique and creative. Tell us how you get the family involved in meal preparation--perhaps by using planned leftovers, have one recipe with 2 or 3 variations, use appliances such as crockpots, blender or microwave oven. Submit your recipe(s) in ONE Word document to recipe@dietitians.ca by May 30, 2010. **Deadline extended** Please use the recipe template. All recipes selected will be tested by our team of experts on our `delicious' scale and a nutrient analysis will be done for each recipe. There is no guarantee that your submitted recipe will be selected.
