Kids spend a lot of time at school. This makes schools great places to promote physical activity.

Here are some our favourite reasons for children and youth to get "in motion" at school:

  • To Enhance Learning - Active kids are fit to learn. Being physically active improves school performance.
  • To Make Friends - Active play helps children learn to get along with and get to know others.
  • To Build Confidence - Practicing skills such as running, jumping and throwing gives children a chance to feel good about themselves.
  • To Make Good Habits - If children and youth are active they are more likely to become active adults.
